Good to Know

Before You
Set Sail

Everything you need to know before your evening on the bay. Have another question? We're always happy to help.

Do I need to paddle myself?

No — every canoe comes with a personal paddler who does the work while you relax, take photos, and soak in the scenery. You’re welcome to paddle if you’d like.

When can I see the bioluminescent plankton?

The glowing plankton is best seen on dark nights, away from city lights. Our route and timing are designed around the darkest waters of the bay — visibility varies with moon phase and conditions.

Is the tour suitable for children and non-swimmers?

Yes. The escort boat is stable and spacious, life jackets are provided for everyone, and your paddler handles the canoe. Children from age 4 are welcome.

What should I bring?

Swimwear or light clothes, a change of dry clothes, sunscreen, and a hat. We provide dry bags for your phone and valuables, plus towels, water, and all safety equipment.
